Military Resettlement Packages

Are you about to leave or have you recently left the Armed Forces? Are you looking for a high quality resettlement package in the building industry? Then look no further!

The Building Skills Academy can cater for all of your building industry needs, by providing you with the essential building skills for your new and potentially rewarding career.

In the past year, over 10% of the people trained at the Building Skills Academy have been either military or ex-military personnel, so why not join them and make the most out of your new career. With ex-military personnel on our staff, not only do we have empathy with the Services but also a better understanding of your requirements.

Courses are flexible and are designed to accommodate people who are in many cases re-training in a completely different career; therefore, your needs and concerns are essential to our course planning and design.

The Course covers:

• You are given a detailed Health and Safety presentation by an Instructor with an Advanced Certificate in Health and Safety in the Work Place.
• You will be able to take the required training for the CSCS card.
• You will be in a class of no more than 8 students per instructor.
• You will be shown all the basic skills appropriate to the trade being taught.
• You will be able to gain confidence as the course progresses and be competent at the end to undertake a range of small projects.
• You will be able to demonstrate to a potential employer from day one the range of skills achieved during your training with the Building Skills Academy.
• You will receive a small portfolio of pictures which shows the range of tasks undertaken and the results achieved.

At the end of your training you are presented with a comprehensive set of course notes and an attendance certificate which includes a detailed list of all the areas and subjects covered during your training.

Come for a visit

You are welcome to visit our training facilities to see the training we do and speak to students who are undergoing training at the time of your visit.

We can provide a Military Resettlement package which includes accommodation as required. Additionally, we are able to provide you with a list of accommodation facilities, from which you are able to make your own arrangements.
