Advanced Plastering Course

Plastering Course - Level 2

Duration:  5 Days, Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 16.30

Full Cost: £560 including standard VAT 

Deposit: £150 (Deposit required to secure your course)

This is an advanced plastering course and has been designed to provide candidates who have completed the Level one Plastering Course (or similar Plastering Training) the opportunity to enhance their Plastering skills.  

There are many of you who wish to proceed further than the skimming of the odd wall or ceiling to possibly using your Plastering Training as a form of career change or even just to enhance the Plastering Skills required to renovate your own property. Our level 2 Course in Plastering will help you do this.

Just like our level one course, our level 2 is a Short Plastering Course offering you an in intensive 5 days of Plastering Training. It comprises a much harder regime of continuous hands on base coat and finish coat plastering.

Your level 2 Plastering Training will comprise:

• Health and Safety
• Complete bay area coverage with plaster board and plastering in a one set process to a flat and angled ceiling
• Complete five step plastering process to cover once again the ceiling and onto three sets of the walls
• Polishing to a high standard
• The covering of a whole wall surface with hard-wall or base coat plaster and covering with multi-finish top coat
• Forming of an archway using plasterboard and flexible thin coat beads
• Using water based glue to cover the old plaster then finishing using a two set coverage process
• Plastering of the formed archway
• Working around sockets and cables
• Using sand and cement render to cover brick or block-work walls (a sand a lime mix is used within the training environment) finishing to a suitable levelled and keyed surface to accept finish coat plaster on the inside or to a smooth finish on outside walls
• Forming of hand made coving using hard-wall as a base material and covering with finish coat plaster to a high standard.

The Building Skills Academy Plastering Training Course has a maximum of eight students to one instructor; this ensures you will have as much one to one instructor interaction as you require.
