Plumbing CourseTrain to Maintain your Home Heating and Hot water system and save £70 minimum on call out fees alone.
Duration: 5 days, Monday-Friday, 09:00-1630 With the day rate of a plumber exceeding that of a graduate engineer (and overtaking racing drivers' pay) now is the time to consider plumbing as a career or to gain plumbing skills to carry out your own home maintenance. The aim of the 5 day basic plumbing course is to give you the relevant skills and knowledge necessary to undertake a range of domestic plumbing projects in a kitchen, bathroom, en-suite, fitting a shower, removing and replacing a radiator to undertaking many plumbing repair tasks around the home. What else will I learn?You will learn the basics of water supply installation, waste and how a basic hot water and heating system works. You will learn how to fit a bath, sink and toilet with copper and plastic pipe systems, repair old taps and radiator valves and learn the basic water regulation requirements for the house. Plumbing work is basically quite straight forward, but it can be repetitive; whatever the project, and you may end up doing the same thing over and over again. However, that does not make the work less rewarding, because the end product can have many benefits, especially financial. For example, new fittings can improve your bathroom or kitchen, while new taps can banish drips and plumbing in your washing machine will put an end to all that fiddling with hoses on wash day. To become a good do-it-yourself plumber, you need to understand how your plumbing system works, familiarise yourself with the materials and tools, master the basic techniques and decide what jobs you can undertake.
